Application of polymers in rapid tool production for metal sheet forming

The behavior of a disc shaped upper die molded from polyurethane and 3P resin, which is similar to cold cross Unking polyurethane, and a lower die made of strongly filled epoxy resin was studied. The filleting of the lower die made of the above mentioned material did not wear even after 5000 deep drawing tests.
