Development of polymer composite vehicle axle load measuring scale made from polymer composite

The state of Hungarian public roads marks that they are used by a large number of overweight vehicles, having an axle load larger than allowed. This causes enermous economic expenses and a larger risk of accidents, while frequent road reparation works generate traffic jams. According to a study from the US, the damaging effect of a 40 tons heavy vehicle is equal with 9600 common cars. In order to sort out overweight vehicles, road authorities have ordered the deployment of fixed and portable balances. The aim of this study is the presentation of the development of a low - approximately 40 mm high - portable composite electronic balance.
