摘要

As we step into the digital age, it is no surprise that education is taking on new and exciting forms. With the increasing prevalence of ebooks and online education, the future of traditional physical classrooms itself is being questioned. What if there was a way to merge the benefits of both digital and physical classrooms? That's where the concept of digital twins of classrooms comes in. So, what exactly are digital twins? More formally, digital twins are dynamic virtual representations of a physical system, using real-time data to enable understanding, learning, and reasoning. This technology can be used to create a virtual replica of any physical location, from a classroom to an entire building, with a level of detail and accuracy that is unparalleled. The digital twin concept is similar to a simulation, but it goes further by incorporating authentic sensed data from the actual physical environment. For example, it can measure the temperature of a room, the speed of the elevators in a building, or any other measurable data point about a physical location that can be digitized. This measured data is then contextualized in a rich, three-dimensional scene that can be viewed and manipulated in space and time.
