TEA SMUGGLING INTO PAKISTAN HITS NEW HIGHS

Tea importers in Pakistan are once again calling for government action to prevent tea being smuggled into the country from Afghanistan, as volumes of illegal imports appear to be hitting new highs. Over the past few years, the Pakistan Tea Association (PTA) has repeatedly called for measures to prevent an illegal trade which is estimated to account for around 40% of tea brought into the country.
