Genomic sequencing and its application for biological and evolutional research in bamboo

摘要

Bamboo is widely planted for its important economical and ecological benefits. Recently, the sequencing for bamboo species is increasing. By now, it is reported that 4980 sequences for the Bambusoideae have been submitted in GenBank database of NCBI,including 1319 corenucleotide sequences, 2673 EST sequences and 998 GSS sequences. These sequence data have been applied for biological researches on bamboo. In this paper, we summarize the submitted sequences, and review the researches on application ofgenomic information in bamboo.
