Water hammer increases drilling penetration rates

Cubex manufactures production drills and is a distributor of Wassara water hammers. The company's 75-mm (3-in.) W80 Wassara water hammer is currently being tested at a Canadian gold mine. The unit is using a Cubex Megamatic drill to drill up and down holes. So far, the W80 Hammer has been effective in providing increased penetration, compared with pneumatic hammers.
