American Legend/Seattle Fur Exchange opened the latest round of auctions in North America May 18 with an offering of 1.4 million mink. The first day of the three-day sale featured a collection Blackglama/Glma males, Lunaraine/Dark Brown Mahogany malesand Lunaraine/Dark Brown Clear & Wild type males. Over 160 buyers representing all major markets displayed confidence in the market, demonstrated by the high percentage sale at levels firm to slightly easier compared to recent auctions, This sale marked a higher clearance of goods than any other May sale this year, according to Seattle Fur Exchange. Average prices noted below reflect a large percentage of small sizes and breeder pelts.
