To do a satisfactory pelting job, it is necessary to have the proper tools in good condition. Knives: There are, of course, a good many possibilities, but you need two types: A short sharp-pointed knife for opening up and a strong "bread knife" to cut the pelt loose by the ears and eyes. Both knives ought to be kept extremely sharp, and, therefore, a sharpener is also necessary. Furthermore, a pair of strong scissors or a pair of nippers for cutting the paws is needed.
