Interior Department Issues Revised Plan for Outer Continental Shelf Lease Sales in 2007-2012; Seeks Comments on Revised Plan as Well as New Plan for 2012-2017

The Department of the Interior's (DOI's) Minerals Management Service (MMS) published a Preliminary Revised Program (PRP) for Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and gas leasing during the period 2007 to 2012. The PRP includes 16 sales in 6 areas - 2 off Alaska, 1 off the Atlantic Coast, and 3 in the Gulf of Mexico. The notice and request for comments appeared in the 4/2/10 edition of the Federal Register. Comments are due May 3.
