GPN transfers industrial AN business to MAXAM

GPN of France, one of Europe's leaders in nitrogen chemistry and a major producer of nitrogen fertilizers, started the process of transferring its Mining business located in Mazingarbe in the north of France to the Spanish industrial group MAXAM, on 11 January 2010. On 6 July 2010, after informing and consulting with its social partners, GPN signed an agreement to transfer its industrial ammonium nitrate (AN) activities to MAXAM.
