Major Polish chemical concern Ciech Group has reached an agreement with its banks concerning the essential terms and conditions of financing the Group up to 2016. Following negotiations between the Ciech Group and the banks, it has been agreed that Bank DnB Nord Polska, Bank Handlowy, Bank Millennium, Bank Pekao, BRE Bank, ING Bank Slaski and Bank PKO BP will refinance the debt of the Ciech Group under the loan agreement dated April 26, 2010, reduced by PLN 400 million of debt which the Group will repay by the end of the first quarter of 2011. Also a party to the financing is the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which will give a loan of PLN 300 million to finance the Group's investments. The share of EBRD in the new long-term financing of the group requires a decision of the Board of Directors of the bank, which is expected on 15 February 2011.
