摘要

New market opportunities for the shrimp industry have increased the aqua-culture production volume; simultaneously the risk for the spread of diseases has increased as well. Vibriosis is one of the major problems in shellfish and fin-fish aquaculturebeing responsible for mortality in cultured shrimp worldwide. Outbreaks may occur when environmental factors trigger the rapid multiplication of bacteria already tolerated at low levels within shrimp blood.
