Blue Alternative: High Health Introduces SPFBlue Shrimp to Thailandy Could Diversify White Shrimp Monopoly

Blue shrimp arc very similar to Pacific white shrimp, and can be raised under similar conditions. Blue slirimp, however, grow faster at lurge sizes and tolerate lower water temperatures. They also exhibit resistance to Tauni syndrome vims and IHHNV. A commercial production triid of TAlopeniK'ns sfy/iro-sfns in Thailand demonstrated that blue shrimp have excellent potential as a crop diversification species for Asian aquaculture.
