Well-logging in regional hydrogeology: the police cretaceous basin

During a three-year regional hydrogeological project realised in the Police Cretaceous Basin, in the northeastern part of Bohemia, Czech Republic, available well-logging data from 33 hydrogeological boreholes were re-interpreted. hydrogeological units defined in the studied Basin were identified by their geophysical properties and groundwater flow was determined in particular boreholes. This way well logging significantly supported other methodical approaches and yielded important information for regional hydrogeological conclusions and the implementation of a numerical model of regional groundwater flow.
