The climatic difficulties faced in Oceania in recent years, particularly in Australia, appear to have been largely overcome this year. Australian production has been steadily rising and in 2005 is predicted to almost recover to pre-drought levels. Although New Zealand production was down in the 2003/2004 season, the decline is expected to be short-lived with prospects for the 2004/2005 season good.
