摘要

An important metallogenic belt in Chinese mining economy for stratiform polymetallic Sb-W-Au deposits runs through the northern part of the Hunan Province. The typical locality is Woxi. Usable minerals include stibnite, scheelite and gold, which are accompanied by twelve sulfides and dominant gangue mineral of quartz. - Stratiform ore layers within definite stratigraphic horizons in a slightly metamorphosed slate-phyllite complex (Late Proterozoic) comprise the economically important ore bodies and are accompanied by spatially bound, subordinate stockworks and discordant vein mineralization. - The aim of this paper is to present some new data obtained by way of extensive geoscientific research, in order to examine the controversial genetic hypotheses proposed heretofore. We interpret the ore deposits of this type to represent mineralization of the multiphase, hydrothermal-sedimentary, polymetamorphism-superimposed classification.
