Ground Water Pollution Problems and Evaluation of Physico-ChemicalProperties of Ground Water

摘要

The paper reveals the present status of ground-water quality of some villages of Chaksu tehsil (Jaipur district). Water quality was monitored at various locations along 45 km stretch of the Tonk road Samples from 22 villages were collected and analyzed during October 2002 to January 2003. The analytical results indicate higher concentrations of certain ions like TDS, EC and F but values of pH, Ca~(2+), Mg~(2+), SO_4~(2-), CO_3~(2-) and NO_3 are within permissible limits.
