James Dyson: James Dyson is known worldwide for his invention of the Dyson bagless vacuum cleaner

When the British engineer, Hubert Cecil Booth, invented the vacuum cleaner in 1901, he designed it as large horse-drawn, petrol-driven vehicle which was parked on the street. Booth demonstrated his invention by parking it outside a restaurant and feeding large hoses through the windows to clean the floor. Of course, over the years vacuum cleaners became smaller and more easily portable, but still worked on the principle of sucking dust and dirt into a disposable bag.
