It could hardly have gone unnoticed at the recent Forest Industry Engineering Association's Timber Preservation conferences in New Zealand and Australia that industry leadership was a major issue of discussion. How should the preservation industry align itself to the wider forest products industry and what form of association or representation should be established to represent the interests of this narrow but important sector?
