摘要

This research was conducted with four children with strong developmental disabilities, showing previews failure on teaching toileting skills. The research was divided into 3 phases. The first one, called base line, served to establish a base line of inadequate urinations, allowing, at the same time, to identify discriminatory stimulus associated with inadequate urinations. The second phase was characterized by manipulation of previous identified stimulus, by creating two functional analysis situations: the first one for place, and the second one for activity. The last phase was the treatment, which was divided in 4 sections: errorless teaching, total physical stimulus, partial and independent physical stimulus. Results suggest the need to carry out functional analysis so as to maximize research results, which really reduced incidence of inadequate urinations.
