Biomedical engineering: a brief survey into current challenges and a proposed research roadmap

摘要

The goal of this paper is to direct the readers' attention to the main challenges facing some of the most active research areas in biomedical engineering. These include brain machine interface (BMI), telemedicine, biomedical microrobotics, virtual experimentation and comfortable vehicles' design. Moreover, the paper discusses some research directions that can be pursued to overcome these challenges in the near future.
