摘要

Sun et al. (2011) present a model for the formation of porphyry Cu-Au deposits from magmas derived by melting subducting oceanic lithosphere ('adakites')- After initially considering the various models that have been proposed in the literature for the origin of magmas with adakite-like trace element signatures, the authors dismiss all but two for further consideration: oceanic slab melting or melting of lower continental crust.
