Polyoxometalates supporting cyclopendienylzirconium CpZrXW_(11)O_(39)~(n-):a new kind of olefin polymerization catalyst

New polyoxometalates supporting cyclopendienylzirconium CpZrXW_(11)O_(39)~(n-)(X = Si,Ge,Ga,B)have been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses,IR spectra and NMR spectroscopy.The new complexes exhibited catalytic activity for ethylene polymerization.Catalysis by polyoxometalates(POMs)and related compound is a field of increasing importance[1]because of their variety and high potential as catalysts.Many known of new POMs are being appliad to a wide variety of reactions that POMs are used in solution as well as in the solid state as acid or oxidation catalysts.To develop a new kind of catalytic type impels us to synthesize and research a new kind of catalytic type based on POMs.
