1D sodium ditetrazole coordination polymer obtained through in situ hydrothermal ligand synthesis

Hydrothermal treatment of ZnCl_2,1,4-dicyanoethylene,NaN_3,and water in the presence of NaOH at ca.130 deg C unexpectedly but welcomingly offers colorless crystals of the compound 1.To the best of our knowledge,1 is the first ditetrazole coordination polymer containing sodium synthesized through in situ hydrothermal 2 + 3 cycloaddition reaction between cyano and azide groups.
