A mixed-valent trinuclear #mu#_3-oxo bridged manganese complex [Mn_3O(O_2CCH_2Cl)_6(Py)_2(H_2O)](centre dot)0.5C_5H_5N was synthesized. Its crystal structure was determined, together with the results of variable temperature magnetic susceptibility, cyclic voltammogram and IR spectrum.
