Coffee Board launches Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIPM, Bangalore

The increasing demand for Coffee across various consumer segments in India provides opportunities for entrepreneurial initiatives. Recognizing the need to build capacities of potential and nascent entrepreneurs in the Indian Coffee sector, the CoffeeBoard has recently established a Centre for Innovation and Entrepre-neurship (CIE) at Indian Institute of Plantation Management Bangalore (IIPM). The centre was inaugurated on 14th June 2013 by Sri J. S. Deepak, IAS, Additional Secretary (Plantations), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt, of India, (also, Chairman, IIPM), in the presence of the Sri Jawaid Akhtar, IAS, Chairman, Coffee Board, Chairpersons of other Commodity Boards of India and Dr. V.G. Dhanakumar, Director, IIPM.
