In this column, Indian coffee production estimates, domestic prices and exports as well as the extracted information from December 2012 Coffee Market Report of ICO on global production, prices, consumption and exports are covered. The post monsoon crop forecast for the year 2012-13 is placed at 315,500 MTs, which shown a reduction of 9,800 MTs (-3.01%) over the post blossom estimate of 2012-13 of 325,300 MTs. However, it is a marginal increase of 1,500 MTs (0.48%) over the final estimate of previousyear 2011-12 (314,000 MTs). Of the total estimate, the Arabica and Robusta break up is 100,225 MTs and 215,275 MTs respectively. Arabica production estimate has shown a decline of 3,775 MTs (-3.63%) while robusta declined by 6,025 MTs (-2.72%) over the post blossom estimate of 2012-13.
