Enforcement ofPest Actin respect of theCoffee Stem Borer Controlin Mysore State

The Coffee Stem Borer Xylotrechus quadripes Chevr. is very well known to all the planters, as a pest of major importance, in Mysore. When its life history and control measures were studied by the Division of Entomology of the Mysore Department of Agriculture, and published in Bulletin No. 11 in 1934 and revised in 1941, the utility of destruction of borer attacked plants among other measures like scrubbing of stems, handpicking of beetles, etc., was practically tested in more than one estate.
