TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION CENTRE, GONIKOPPAL - A PROFILE

The Coffee Board established a chain of Regional Field Stations at zonal level as a nucleus centre to transfer coffee technology comprehensively to the planting community. As a part of this concept, a Regional Field Station was set up in Aruvathoklu,Gonikoppal of South Kodagu during the year 1958 with the following objectives: The station was later renamed as the Coffee Demonstration Farm in the year 1960 and since 2007 is known as Technology Evaluation Centre.
