摘要

The activation of molecular dioxygen by transition metals has fascinated chemists for decades. In particular copper-peroxo complexes play a central role in biochemical O_2 processing, but synthetic, loom-temperature stable Cu-O_2-Cu adducts are scarce. Dinuclear copper proteins such as hemocyanin 6r tyrosi-nase are of vital importance in biochemical O_2 processing and use O_2 as an environmentally favorable oxidantin, for example, the selective oxidation of aromatic substrates. Consequently, the search for biomimetic copper complexes that bind O_2 under mild conditions (room temperature, protic solvent, normal O_2 pressure) has continued to attract considerable interest.
