The concern over the limited supply and the environmental effects of fossil fuels has led to increasing efforts directed towards the development of semiconductor photocatalysts for the production of hydrogen from water by using solar energy.However,despite years of effort in this area of research,there are still many challenges that need to be met before such a photocatalytic process becomes economically feasible.
