The origin and amplification of chirality leading to the,overwhelming enantioenrichment of organic compounds,such as the L-amino acids and D-sugars on Earth,is a significant topic of interest.One of the proposed mechanisms for the origin of chirality is the generation of chiral crystals formed from achiral organic compounds,with each crystal exhibiting one of the two possible enantiomorphs.
