Since the asymmetric epoxidation of allylic alcohols,which was reported by the Sharpless group in 1980,catalytic asymmetric epoxidation has been one of the most important asymmetric methodologies.A number of methods have been developed for the epoxidation of both unfunctionalized olefins and electron-deficient enones.
