The organization of functional semiconductor nanoparticles (NPs) on surfaces,and specifically electrodes,attracts substantial research efforts.Semiconductor NP architectures on surfaces have been used to assemble photoelectrochemical cells,to tailor light-emitting diodes,to fabricate electro-chromic devices,and to organize sensor systems.
