Fischer-carbene complexes have become valuable building blocks in organic synthesis.In particular,they are very useful for the generation of ring systems.The design of new strategies for the selective synthesis of seven-membered carbocycles continues to be of great interest for organic chemists due to the importance of this skeleton as a part of biologically relevant compounds.
