摘要

Hydrido(hydroxc) and (alkoxo) complexes are postulated as intermediates in various transition metal mediated analytic transformations. Formation of O-H bonds by reductive elimination from such complexes is sugsrested as the product-forming step in several reactions, such as the hydvogenation of CO to methanol, hydrogen transfer reactions, and alcohol homoiogation. O-H bond formation by reductive elimination is rarely observed, and was so far found to require ligand addition, UV irradiation, or oxidation.
