Asymmetric Allenophanes:Synthesis of a Tris-mita-allenophane and Tetrakis-meta-allenophane by Sequential Cross-Coupling

The synthesis and design of new cyclophanes and assorted cage compounds with novel shapes and supramolecular geometries continue to be topics of current interest.Our research group has an expanding interest in the design and synthesis of new carbocyclic and heterocyclic cyclophanes,many of which contain a twisted conformation that imparts helical chirality to the assembled molecule.
