The total synthesis of complex glycoproteins bearing multiple oligosaccharide domains is a central focus of our research group.We are particularly interested in targeting,for de novo synthesis,specific glycoproteins which possess extraordinary biological activity.The sheer magnitude of the synthetic challenge is such that we often encounter the limits of current methodology.
