The development of chemo-and regioselective intermolecu-lar functionalization reactions of C-H bonds represents an important and long-standing goal in synthetic chemistry.Diasteroselective olefin cross-metathesis catalyzed by single-component ruthenium carbene complexes was recognized as an alternative for the functionalization of vinylic C- H bonds(Scheme 1,reaction A).
