Guest Exchange in Single Crystals of van der Waals Nanocapsules

Container molecules and molecular capsules are likely to be of importance in the future both in biological and chemical applications,for example,for drug transport and as nano-reactors.So far,most efforts have been directed at the formation of nanocontainers stabilized either by hydrogen bonding or those constructed with metal-ligand or covalent bonds,as they are able to capture and exchange guest molecules in solution.
