摘要

Enol isomers of simple aldehydes and ketones have been known fora longtime, but very little is known about theenols of other carbonyl compounds such as carboxylic acids and carbonic acid esters. On account of the high thermodynamic instability with respect to the carboxylic acid isomer it has so far not been possible to isolate a geminal enediol or its metal derivative.
