摘要

The optimization of reaction conditions and heterogeneous catalysis is still of central importance for the improvement of selectivity in chemical production processes. The surface polarity of the catalysts has so far played a minor role. There is nodetailed knowledge on the correlation of catalytic reactions and surface polarity or on catalysts whose surlace polarity can be adjusted at will over a wide range, irrespective ol the catalytically active centers. Here we show for the first time the preparation of microporous mixed oxide catalysts with controlled surface polarity and demonstrate their effect on selected selective oxidation reactions.
