摘要

Hydrogen bonds(H bonds)play important roles in determining the structure and function of biopolymers.For example,they are responsible for base pairing in nucleic acids,they contribute to the stability of proteins folds,and they control molecular recognition among proteins,DNA,and carbohydrates.Polysaccharides,because of their abundance of hydroxy groups and oxygen atoms,are prone to form extensive networks of intra-and intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
