摘要

The chemistry of the rotaxanes has moved out of the area of low molecular weight compounds (Scheme 1, A) in the direction of polymeric structures, in which the linear "thread" molecules pass through a number of crown ethers or cyclodextrins. Recentlywe extended this group of main-chain polyrotaxanes (Scheme 1, B) with a new class of side-chain polyrotaxanes (Scheme 1, D) based on polymethacrylate, polysulfone, and polyether ketone main chains.
