摘要

Nanoscale clusters are of great popularity due to the novel structural characteristics and rich electronic,magnetic,optical,and catalytic properties associated with their quantum-size effects.Although the cluster chemistry of transition metals (TMs) is now well-established and many huge clusters of manganese,copper,nickel,molybdenum,and silver have been synthesized successfully,the analogous chemistry of lanthanides is less developed because the synthesis of nanosized high-nuclearity clusters is still a big challenge.
