摘要

During the last few years not only porous compounds based on SiO_4/AlO_4 tetrahedra as the main building units have been explored but also germanates have received considerable attention. In contrast to silicon, which is usually in a tetrahedral environment of oxygen atoms, germanium is coordinated by four five, or even six oxygen atoms. Interestingly, until pow no efforts have been made to enhance the structural diversity of porous compounds by combining the flexible coordination behavior of germanium with that of indium. For instance, InO_4 tetrahedra are found in InNa_5O_4 or in InOF; in Ba_2In_2O_5 InO_4 tetrahedra and InO_6 octahedra coexist, and in Ba_3In_2O_6 distorted InO_5 trigonal bipyramids are observed.
