摘要

Cation cyclizations provide nature with selective routes to complex steroids and teipenes. Biomimetic analogs are useful synthetic pathways to steroids. Many different products such as alkenes and alcohol stereoisomers as well as partially cyclized materials may be formed in solution, whereas enzyme-catalyzed processes are in general highly selective. Several antibodies have been found that catalyze cyclizations leading selectively to cy-clopropanes, alcohols, or alkenes, depending on the sub-stituents.
