Semicrystalline polymers may show elastic properties although they exhibit high crystallinity and high mechanical strength.Syndiotactic polypropylene (sPP) is a superb example of this category of materials.It is a low-cost,stiff,thermoplastic elastomer in which the elasticity is associated with a reversible and instantaneous crystal-crystal phase transition.
