摘要

In the past decade extensive efforts have been focused on the design of novei peptidomimetics for biomedical applications. Recently, lanthignine, a monosulfide cystine analog, has been examined by us as a new peptidotnimetic (Scheme 1). The results ofthe chemical, biological, and physiological investigations indicate that lanthkmine is an effective building block with conformational constraint and metabolic stability. In this communication, we describe the design and synthesis of new constrained dipeptide mimetics based on beta,beta-dimethylcyclolanthionine.
