摘要

The macroscopic properties of self-organizing systems are strongly governed by the molecular structure of their constituent units. Nevertheless, in many cases the same supramolecular structures can be constructed with a wide variety of building blocks. In particular, hexagonal columnar mesophases (Φ_h) are formed by various molecular structures. The constituent unit of the liquid-crystalline phase may consist of relatively rigid macro-molecules with flexible side chains, for example poly(dialkylsi-lane) or substituted poly(g!utamate)s.
